This month Channel 27 celebrates its 30th anniversary.

It was the 12th October 1985 when Channel 27 first went to air. Since then, we've broadcast countless shows, events, specials, location transmissions and Big Weekends. Over the next month, we're taking a look back

What's on

Leo Andrews kicks off the season at 5.30pm on 5th October, and it runs until the 25th October.

Overnight from 4am, Tuesday-Thursday, we're playing archive editions of past shows such as Popular Classics - all of which have been restored for 2015.

On the 12th October, our birthday, join Nimmy Bear from 8pm GMT for 30 Years of Channel 27 with a look at the last three decades of highlights.

Then, Big Birthday Weekend is back! We're live from two cities this year - London, England and Copenhagen, Denmark and it all kicks off from 0600 GMT on Saturday 17th October with Nimmy Bear and CG presenting the Big Birthday Breakfast Show.

On 24th October, we're bringing back an old show for a new generation as some of the old Popular Classics team re-assemble for a special one-off edition. Then on 25th, it's the MTV EMA's so we have a 3 hour special edition of the Hit 30 Countdown with all the happenings as the night unfolds.
